It was easier for me since I knew almost all the basics of a guitar.

Though I practiced so much on acoustic guitar for several years, sometimes I face that kind of situation where I can’t get the chords of a specific song right. At that moment, I start practicing on the electric guitar. The electric guitar is so much easier than the acoustic one!

Even then, I’d say, if you don’t have any preference, start with the acoustic one. Why? Well, the electric guitar might be easier, but it won’t hone your skills as acoustic guitar. Just remember one thing! “If you can play something on acoustic guitar, you can play that on the electric guitar as well. But vice versa situation might not work out in every case.” So, better if you get an acoustic guitar instead!
